Pakhuis de Zwijger


Pakhuis de Zwijger is an internationally operating platform for the city in transition that does research, develops online platforms, sets up meetings and organises challenges, City Expeditions, and think tanks together with some two hundred partners while building local, national and international networks of City Makers and City Embassies. Pakhuis gathers a community close to 100,000 members that joins in special projects, design sessions, presentations, movie screenings and talkshows. In their physical space a range of incubators, offices, studios and workshops have been created for (young) cultural entrepreneurs with the focus on 'urban culture', such as designers, program makers, editors, and producers of various types of media.

Pakhuis de Zwijger is also a main hub in the WeMaketheCity Festival, an international festival that tackles urgent everyday challenges in the urban environment, together with audience and experts.Mersin partners will travel to the Netherlands to share their knowledge and experiences during the formation of Mersin Citylab in a joint session with Dutch Citylabs, introducing the Mersin partners to their network and to build long term institutional connections.
